Thank you for sorta addressing my comment in the latest netcast, I could of been more positive in my post, I agree and apologize.

Your comments, made sense, talk about what you know.

Just let me say that you folks know a lot, and that there has to be more than 2 or 3 games you can talk about. If you use the same old (successful) games all the time newer people won’t have a clue what you are talking about. The further we get in time from those games, the further more obscure the reference becomes. Other newer completed games could be used.

The other beef is that the games you mention so often just happen to be made by you, and your group (the netcast team), so that DOES make it look like you are mutually tapping each other on the back at the expense of games not made by you.

As for your snarkiness during the podcast, fair enough, but I have found it’s common with you to denigrate others, laugh at others and generally set yourself up to be some sort of ARG Authorities by putting down the efforts and opinions of others in a very non-professional manner.

Laughing at the fans and rookie designers is not a way to build up a positive image about what you guys are doing, it just makes you sound snobbish and haughty.

This was a perfect example of your high and mighty attitude taking over what should be an objective look on the ARG world.

That being said, I started the fight, so I got what I deserved. I could of been a lot more constructive before.

You like my employers I.P. ? :P

Yes I am quite concerned about recent issues in the ARG world. I think its great that all sorts of ARG’s are coming out, as this is a growing genre of gaming but ARG’s being made as the ARG world builds up and grows into the gaming world slowly, ARG’s that are not compiled well, are made poorly etc could potentially damage how the ARG scene is viewed.

It has concerned me for quite a while, is it just me?

Oh, and before I sound like a complete [expletive], this week’s podcast was better as it did not mention ‘those 2 games’ that much :)

See ? It is possible!

I love listening to the NetCasts… I get so excited every Monday. I hope this isn’t the last one until after the holidays… what will I do?!

Great job this time, as usual. I enjoyed your game discussions, especially your tips for creating games (what not to do, etc.) You’ll be glad to see someone started the very guide to game development you were talking about over at uF.

So, the whitepaper. I just glanced over it briefly (didn’t read anything TOO in-depth) but it seemed to me like there were a lot of problems that need to be worked out. Brooke, your parts were very well done, but the rest of it (with a few exceptions, like you guys said) need some serious help. I’m looking forward to the Wiki so I can help edit the whitepaper.

I’m looking forward to further netcasts!

The Jericho episodes open not only with a static image of the name but also morse code which actually different with each episode.

Spoiler Alert!
In the podcast, you were discussing wanting to know more about the agent that moved into town before the explosions. I can only assume you mean Robert Hawkins and Gray’s discovery of his FBI badge.

The Wikipedia community has been great at deciphering the opening codes quickly and the one played at the beginning of that episodes stated: Rob Not FBI… which puts a new spin on everything.

The codes for the previous episodes are usually a brief headsup for what will happen in the episode such as “There Is A Fire”. However, with the last two episodes appears to be a message: “It Begins With” and then “6 And Ends With”.

I suppose we’ll know more in February or maybe this really is the start of something during the break.

Love the podcast, hope to hear more soon!

How about a website listing the Netcasts’ notes?
