As we announced on our Thomas Dolby episode, we’re re-branding with the reboot of the podcast! The ARGNetcast will now be known as the StoryForward Podcast.
So why a new name, you ask? Over the past decade, we’ve watched as Alternate Reality Gaming has expanded in scope, really beginning to take hold in various forms as not just ARGs, but Transmedia Storytelling, Viral campaigns, Apps, Events and more. With storytelling still at the core of our discussions, we wanted the name of the podcast to reflect the fact that we’ve begun to talk about more than just ARGs.
So we bid a fond farewell to ARGNetcast as a label. Many thanks to Jonathan Waite, Sean C. Stacey, Marie Lamb and the rest who made the ARGNetcast as great as it was, and we look forward to continue discussing the future of Entertainment and Storytelling as the StoryForward Podcast.
We’ll stop updating this website at this point, as everything can now be found at the new StoryForward Podcast website. If you subscribe via iTunes, you don’t need to take any action, as everything will update automatically. And don’t worry, we’ll be keeping all 127 ARGNetcast episodes archived at the new website, so you’ll be able to listen to any of them any time.
